This is an age old question. And one that plagues us all at one time or the other. I hope to look at what the Bible has to say about things.
What is considered good? Job says in chapter ii in the tenth verse “…shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” Good is whatever God wants to do. It says in verse 6 of the same chapter that God says to Satan “Behold, he is in thine hand;” (talking about Job). Can God giving Job over to the Devil really be a good thing? Well with out it…would there be the encouraging book of Job?
What is considered bad? In Romans chapter iii and verse 12 “…There is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Any man that has not come to the repentance of his sin and put his God-given faith in Christ is not good in any way shape or form. But I do good things. With out faith from God any works you do are no good. Can an unsaved individual really do anything good then?
